Omg! Me and my husband who at the time was active duty military rented a house from Hunter Rentals a few years ago. I was reading all these ads about that place and can not believe there were more victims. I thought I was the only one. When me and my husband moved out, we cleaned that place from top to bottom to make sure we got our deposit back. I could not beleive the things they were charging us for. I wish I would have thought about a law suit at the time like one of these young ladies did. I took it all the way to the Better Business Bureau thinking they would help but it didn't. Hunter Rentals made false statements and even took pictures that were false. Where they got the pictures I have no ideal. They charged us x amount of money for not cleaning behind the refridgerator, which I personally pulled out and sweap and mopped behind. They charged us money for not cleaning the carpet telling us we didn't have a professional carpet cleaning company do the job, which we did and had receipts. It was the most unbelievable thing I had ever seen.
Needless to say me and my husband ended up having to pay them money or they told us it would go on our credit report, which we both had excellent credit and didn't want something like that on it. I wish I had found these ads before we rented from them. I feel so sorry for military families being sent to Fort Hood and have to deal with places like that. They should be able to operate in Killeen.
