At our move out inspection we were told BY HUNTER RENTALS that the property was in very good condition, and needed only MINOR touch up cleaning. When we received our move out report, Hunter Rentals charged us over $900 in what they called "damages and cleaning" charges. We were charged for things that they did NOT repair. This was observed by our long time friends who lived in connecting duplex that made friends with the new neighbor. We were charged $75.00 for removal of child proof locks on kitchen cabinets that WERE NOT removed, charged over $200 because walls in living room that had DUST on them where pictures were needed painting, charged $85.00 for outside windows they said were not clean enough, and we paid $70 IN ADDITION to the $900 charges for carpet cleaning, which was not done.
On the final report of charges and assessments, Hunter Rentals reported that AFTER we relinqueshed our keys to Hunter and MOVED OUT, they later went back in and found that they "forgot" to note on our move out inspection that bathrooms were dirty. OK, who says their employees did not go in AFTER we moved out and dirtied the premises? My husband, by the way is Active Army, and i tried to remedy this situation but they would not take our calls or speak with us regarding this. PLEASE, if you live in the Killeen/FtHood/HArker Heights/Copperas Cove area, OUR RECOMMENDATION TO YOU IS NOT TO RENT FROM THIS BUSINESS. It is WIDELY known in this area that HUNTER RENTALS continues to RIP off Soldiers and their families. I have never encountered such a trashy, low life, lying, crooked bunch of people before in my life. It is a shame that people still rent from them and get ripped off.
