I received a call from Dish Network. Never once heard or talk about a 2 year contract or cancellation fee.
When the installer came to install. He was friendly and we talked and talked about Dish Network and his job. He never said anything about a 2 year contact or cancellation charge. Nothing on the contract about the 2 year contract or fee.
After 14 days and a lot of trouble with the reception, I decided to cancel. When cancelling no one said anything about the 2 year contract or fee. Sent the equipment back and paid my bill with Dish Network. This was the last of May.
In June I received a collection letter from Thinline Collection telling me I owed them 500.00. I was very surprised and shocked. I have been dealing with Thinline Collection on the phone trying to get this settled. They have been very rude.
My lawyer told me to send a letter requesting a copy of the contract with them. I am now waiting to hear from them. My next step will be to contact our News Station to see if I can get any help and then to turn over to my lawyer.
