I was totally ripped of by at&t.
Me and my girlfriend purchased two phones on January 29th during AT & T's Valentine's Day Sale. The offer consisted of getting discounts on 3 phones (Samsung Blackjack 2, LG Shine, or Blackberry Curve 8310), which included a $100 mail-in-rebate. After the discounts and the rebate, the phone would cost $100, as was advertised on TV nationwide.
So me and my girlfriend went down to an AT&T store and got 2 phones. I purchased Samsung's Blackjack 2 and she purchased the Blackberry Curve 8310. After the purchase, the customer service rep gave us the rebate form and showed us how to fill it out. We filled out the form, enclosing both phones' bar codes, since it was required. We mailed them two weeks after we purchased the phone, in February. We then both got text messages confirming the receipt of the rebate information. The text messages said that the rebate would be processed in 6 to 8 weeks.
Guess what? We never got the rebates. I called AT&T's rebate department to find out why we hadn't received the rebates, and a very unfriendly customer service rep told me that AT&T had received the rebate but the offer had expired on January 15th. That of course was a cheap lie, since AT&T's Valentine's Day offer ended on February 14th. After explaining it to him, he then said that the offer had expired in April and that me and my girlfriend were not eligible for the rebate even though we sent everything out in February!
The moral of the story is, you send a rebate to AT&T, they reply and say that they've received it and are processing it, and then they never send anything. When you call to find out what happened, they say that the offer was expired and that there's nothing they can do about it.
This is a scam! Do not do business with at&t.
I used VERIZON for many years and never had a problem... How I regret switching to those bunch of crooks!

At&t = bunch of crooks!!! Stay away!
