I purchased an extended warranty services contract on my vehicle for National Auto Warranty Services Inc. On 13 Dec 06 which was being financially serviced through Mepco, 174 N. Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL. The sales person listed on the payment plan contract is a Vernon Hayes.

I attempted to file a claim on Jan 23 through an authorized dealer for work done on my vehicle that was authorized (fuel filter replacement) on the 22nd of Jan by National Auto Warranty Services Inc. Rep (888-792-3495). When the dealer spoke to a rep again on 23 Jan to confirm and to get reimbursement, the rep stated that as of that day, they could/would not pay anything - the account/company had been taken over by the South Carolina Insurance Commissioner (800-737-6180). I got the same reply on Jan 24 myself and then called the SC Insurance Commissioner's office. To date, no one from the SC Insurance Commissioner's office has even returned my calls. Consequently, I have also been rip'd off to the tune of $3000 plus the cost of the repairs. Unfortunately, I made my last payment to them in Jan 08!!
