You get comfortable to be pushed around

I have used KodakGallery.com for posting photos of mine as storage. I have shared them with friends and family. Even my friends and family have an account with them. Since i have had no problems. Until 2 weeks ago i got an e-mail stating that they were going to delete my account due to not purchasing anything. Hmm, thats funny they told its free when i signed up.

Granted i could pay. 15 for the picture and pay whatever s/h price, but the point behind it is the principle. After three (3) years of not doing there job on enforcing a policy and now all of sudden enforcing it i get screwed? I put more and more photos on there, if i was given that e-mail early on in the account, like the first year, i wouldn't posted anymore pictures!

I claim KodakGallery is a rip off. Yes, even if it is a penny, its still riping off the consumer. They even told me that they have sent out over 4 million e-mails haveing the same threat of buy something or we are going to delete your account.

I am confused about this company, if their attitudes are like this having an account and not actually purchasing something, then how are they when you do buy something? Then what they leave you alone? We use this manipulative word, "FREE" very loosely and gets consumers pissed off, like me. So even if it is. 15 they are ripping me off, because the service is free and the policy changed in 2007. So since they revised it, they stuck in this line; We can do whatever we want, whenever we want without your consent.

To methats foul and the public needs to know about these companies that is only in it for the money, and not customer service/satisfaction when they advertise that what they do. I mean, why would you tell me its a free and then put me in a position to be forced to purchase soemthing or risk the loss of my personal photos saying its my fault for not reading the fine print.

NEWFLASH! Companies that need fine print are shady companies that are out for the consumers, out to get in their wallets and once you get the money, who cares about repeat business! RIght?
