They do take American Express, so they lead you to believe

Tried to buy a Cannon HF-100 camcorder.

When I called for confirmation, they told me there American Express machine was down for 3-4 weeks (due to some mysterious storm that must have struck only there office!).

I'll be contacting American Express so they can take the appropriate action against this 'company'.
