I ordered a Belkin iPod recorder from thenerds.net. It was not compatible with my iPod so I returned it. I paid the extra fee to the nerds for the assurz insurance. I received a phone call from a representative from assurz/zota apologizing for not refunding the $45 and asked me to call back. I have called back everyday to no avail. I called thenerds today and was told assurz went out of business and since I returned the product to assurz there was nothing I could do. All calls to assurz go unanswered or they put you on hold and disconnect you. Since I believed both companies were acting in good faith and that a refund could take awhile it is past the 60 days now to file a complaint with my credit card company. AVOID the nerds.net at all cost.
From the other reports I have read on this site, it looks like the company that used assurz is making good on the refunds, NOT the nerds.net
