I purchased a new 2005 Saturn Ion 2 in January. Part of the purchase incentive included a $3,000 mark down on the sticker price and an extended warranty to 60 months or 60,000 miles. I was told this was a Saturn extended warranty. I have the original paperwork from the dealer with my Vehicle ID number on it.
The Dealer, Saturn of Springfield, Ma and Saturn Corporation have not acknowledged or honored the warranty. This is the third time I have had to request assistance from the Saturn Corporation CAC. My car has been disabled since Saturday, June 21st. I had to pay to have it towed to the Dealer on Monday, June 23rd. After several calls, I learned today that the problem is with the "housing and the inition". The dealer is still claim that they do not know what type of warranty I received and are "researching" the warranty. This is the 3rd time this has occurred and each time I have been told the warranty would be placed on the national registry but this has never occurr. I was told today that they have not ordered the necessary part because they are unsure who pays for them.
Other local dealers have closed and the dealership at Saturn of Springfield is on it's 3rd staff turn over since I purchased my vehicle.
I have less than 30,000 miles on my car. This is just the most recent abuse in a series of abuses regarding honoring the promises (in writing) that came when I purchased my vehicle.
