I hired moving van lines to move me from SC to FL they scheduled the pick up date for 30 May 08 between the hours of 2-4, as 4pm rolled around there was no sign of the movers and no phone call. I had to call the dispatch myself because there is no such thing as customer service once they have you in the system. The dispatcher is rude and has a very difficult accent to understand. He had no explination as to why they had not shown up and stated that i would be the first stop in the morning causing me to pay extra to stay in my apartment one more day. The next day came and 12pm no sign of the movers called again to dispatch they said that the driver should be there by 4pm apartment office closes at 5pm so now this is day 2 i have to pay for. 6:30pm the movers show up. Not bad only 27 hours late and $400 dollars for staying in the apartment. Called "customer service" no answer so i called as a new customer cornered someone and asked to speak to a manager. Talked to Randy or Brandy she did not know anything. I asked about a refund due to the truck not picking up my stuff on time and paying for the extra days that was there fault. She did not handle that nor did she know who I would be able to talk to about it. They did not know when my stuff would be delivered although i was told by Iris that it would be about 3-5 days from pickup. Here it is 14 days later and no furniture. My son and i are sleeping on blow up mattresses and out of suitcases. DO not use this company unless you have plenty of time and don't need your stuff. Over 14 days to diliver furniture to an eight hour drive location.
