I am also enraged about this ordeal with Wachovia bank. Just recently Wachovia has charged me in excess over $500.00 in NSF fees. Over a weekend of a shopping spree I made various debits on my account and checked my account repeatedly as I have always done, just to make sure i could purchase items.
After the weekend was over and I called once again to see what was posted to my account it left me with a small remaining balance but when i awoke the next day to check my balance again (knowing I had a deposit that was posting) I had been charged over 400 in NSF fees...
All of these items had already been applied to my available balance, i had forgotten about one item that was supposed to post to my account. That would have resulted in one nsf fee. But b/c of how wachovia post items to their account it resulted in numerous NSF fees...
I have been to several branches called customer service and still they do not think they have done nothing wrong at all. Even though these items were done as ATM debits and already taken from my balance they say that they can do this and feel like Wachovia has stolen from me... Never have I ever had this done to me ever and I think something really needs to be done. I have spoken to numerous customers that previously banked with wachovia and have told me they did the same thing to them as well... I just pray that someone picks this up as a case or some type of lawsuit.
