Well to start off i started the company just like everyone else. I went in for my interview... But instead of having to go through a final interview like everyone else, i was hired on the spot. I then was told to come in the next day to start. I was told that i would be coming in for an entry-level management position, no experience necessary and that i would be trained from the bottom up.
The next day i came in and went through what they call a "marketing meeting." After the meeting we were given a box of merchandise to go out and sell it to the general public. We left the office and the owner himself took me and 2 other girls out in what they call the "field" to sell. We got to the area that we were going to work and we walked the streets talking to people out in parking lots and also people in businesses.
Now... The same week that i was hired the owner decided to take some "one on one" time with me and do some personal training. Well, one night (Wed. Night) we did the "field" again except for this time it was at night. Now while we were out, i guess working... The owner Bill Portwood started hitting on me. The same night he started talking to me about going out of town on a trip for training... These trip are called Fun Cars (and some Satellites).
We weren't leaving that night but we were 2 days after on Friday. Bill says that i should lie and tell my mom that we are leaving that next morning to go to ATL for a fragrance show... Not true. We didn't even leave the state and we went to sell perfume. Well one thing led to another on that trip and Bill and I end up liking each other. Now i know how stupid this is on my part, especially now! When we got back from that trip on Sunday, Bill tells me that he doesn't want to be away from me and we decided that i was going to move in.
Now i move in. Bill turns on the charm and personally trains me to be one of the top 3 sales people in the whole company... All over the U.S. I am happy and having fun. Then Bill's true colors start coming out. He turns into a physically abusive, prick from IL. I had to now be the one who pounded the pavement, I made all the money. There are no paychecks, Bill doesn't even give me any money, and i am even his girlfriend. He started buying me a few material things just to tied my over and take away from the fact that he is taking all my money.
I was with this guy for 3 yrs. So that you get the full picture... Not only did i believe him that he was in love with me... He also proposed to me with a bogus little fake ring from a kiosk in the mall. He to this day is in so much debt and has put me in so much debt. I finally after 3 yrs got up and left him and the company. People, this company is a scam... If you see this ad and you go in and meet any of these people Bill Portwood, Brittany Brackenridge, Ryan, Meghan, or Nina turn around and run fast... No matter what they say. Brittany is a pill head that is very addicted and Bill will milk you for everything you've got. They will make it sound so good but honestly it is all lies.
I haven't been around these people for over 6 months and i am now in that chapter where i feel that i can tell and help other people not make the same mistake i did. There is also a company in Birmingham, Al. I wasted 3 years... Ruined my car, credit, confidence. Don't put yourself through this! There is plenty more i could say but i am going to run out of room! Beware!!!
