My husband signed up for Vonage in February because he worked out of town and at the time it seemed like a good and inexpensive way to keep in contact.in December we called to cancel the service because we were moving, and no longer had any use for the service. The rep on the phone convinced my husband to keep the service as it would be cheaper than the disconnect fee!
We have called several times since Dec. 2006. Vonage has some hoop-jumping game that they like to play, such as: You have to have you account number, former addresses, former email addresses, the exact amount and date of the withdrawal. I am not allowed to give try to cancel the account because it was set up in my husbands name! My husband informed them that we had moved three times since Dec. Of 2006. WE JUST WANT TO CANCEL!!!
They constantly cause my account to be overdrawn. My only option is to close that account because they will not cancel the service that we haven't used in over a year and a half. We ask to speak to a supervisor we are told that the supervisor will give us the same answer, because it is "their company policy". I cannot believe that this company is being allowed to extort money from people the way that they do.
They need, as so many others before us have stated, A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT!!! Please, someone... Help!!!
