Okay guys this is a report concerning this company for magazine sales and this company only. On their website www.FreeToTravelUSA.com they offer a free trip home if you quit. They dont tell you until you are 1,000 miles from home you have to stay 2 weeks to get that. But heres the real story.
Kevin 17 and Tiffany 23 join a crew they found on a website. Everyone was fine with this but Kevin was told to keep in touch with his mother before he left. After a few days after they left by bus we called the manager to remind Kevin to call home and explained how important it was for his mother to hear from him to make sure he is alive. This where it began with problems. The manager Steve refused to relay the message after 3 days of calling him. I had the police go to the hotel they were at and at least They could get Steve to allow Kevin to call home. Kevin says they made them stay out till 10 PM selling magazines... Come on who stays out that late for mag sales.By this time Kevins mother is upset and asks Kevin to come home. He says he does in facty want to leave the crew. But now Steve the manager refuses to pay for the ticket home. Now to be honest had they said up front on the website that they had to stay 2 weeks this would be acceptable but they did not do this.
Instaed they ditched 17 year old Kevin at Greyhound with no money or a ticket. Luckily the Greyhound on the way to California from New Orleans broke down for 8 hours so with that we were able to get a ticket home given to him free.
Now we have Tiffany that was seperated from Kevin when they got to California that has no idea this is going on at all. She at least had a cell phopne to keep in touch with us to make sure she was okay. I told her how Kevin was screwed over and I advised her to leave as well. She told them she wanted to leave and again she was refused a ticket... No surprise at this point. But what did surprise me was when she told them she would leave on friday to the bus station cause thats when i could afford her ticket they instead booted her out that night. So now I had to scramble fast and come up with the money to get her home. Took me a few hours but I came up with the money and now they are both home and safe.
Point is guys and Girls any company that says no experience nessary and need to get you a 1,000 miles from home probably has something to hide. If somewhere in life you decide to try this type of work out. Do NOT go to Fidelity Readers Service and try to never start a job outside of your home town..
Dixie Readers Service and Crescent Readers Service are exceptions to this story because they hire in state and are not looking to scam people this way. Just a little helpful tip for you guys.
