I took my 86 year old grandmother to live in this group home 7 months ago. She was in the early stages of alzheimers and was incontinent so I could not care for her any longer. She walked and talked when she got there. She has been in the hospital for 3 weeks with stage 4 bedsores, dehydration, malnutrition and the infection from the bed sores caused kidney failure. They did not care for her at all.
I went to visit and she was sitting in a soiled diaper - they phoned the police when i tried to take her out of the facility. After I complained to the State and authorities they took her to the hospital. She now has contracture in both her legs from lack of movement.
These people are horrible. I tried to contact them on several occaisions to ask what happened and they tell me to subponea any information I am looking for. If they did nothing wrong why would they want a subponea for the records? They are under investigation by the district attorney office and several other state agencies along with a lawsuit i have filed against them. Every patient in there is heavily medicated and sitting in front of the tv - i witnessed it everytime ive been there. My grandmother can no longer speak from whatever trauma she has gone through with those people.
Janice Burch is supposed to be the administrator - they are required to have someone there to care for the patients 24 hours a day - on my last visit the only person there besides the patients was a janitor that was mopping the floors. This place is a disgrace - Janice Burch is a disgrace.
Taking peoples money to care for family members and spending it on anything but the patients care - living in her own almost one million dollar house - I am going to take them down.
