Pocket Communications is an

Pocket Communications is an independently owned cell phone company out of San Antonio, Texas. We have bought some phones from them after switching from Sprint (Big Mistake) we were told about the phone features and turns out these features do not exist on the phones. I am paying for internet service on a phone that a "supervisor" told me was internet ready and it's not. Now he says I should have known. He went on to say that "pocket is only for people with bad credit". I guess that is why they expect us even if we have good credit to put up with there customer abuse sorry customer service. My name is Frank Ramirez my addy is lramirez004@rgv. Rr.com. A local TV station has asked us to get together to do a report on pocket several of us have already told them our story. I will included the e-mails I have sent pocket and all without a reply. But that is typical of pocket I have come to know. If you too have a problem with a pocket phone please e-mail me. Pocket's website is pocket.com

I have e-mailed pocket several times now with this same problem. I have left several messages with Joe Garcia and finally spoke to Luis Guajardo. He told me to take my business back to Sprint. Something I have told alot of pocket customers. I now have on the back window of my car "Pocket phones are for people with BAD CREDIT" that is what your supervisor told me. That is the reason I was told your customer service is substandard. I wish I could speak to a supervisor in San Antonio, here in the Valley they keep telling me they do not have the authority to settle my problem. I have called News Channel 4 and they will be doing a story about dissatisfied customers of pocket. I along with 7 others have already been interviewed. I have provided them with copies of these e-mails and with names and numbers of people I have spoken to. I have also given them copies of my reciept where I paid for internet on a phone pocket knew was not internet ready. We have also filed a report with the Better Business Bureau. I this could have been avoided if I would have been heard instead of dismissed and ridiculed. Frank Ramirez 956-778-1076

I emailed you about 1 month ago and you had Luis Guajardo call me. Well then he had someone call me, then that guys had someone else call me and then I was asked to go talk to a tech in the store. I was then given a phone to replace my "bad" phone well this new phone is worse and not even able to download from the web and cannot even access the web, even though the tech told me I could do this. And yes I am paying for web access. I wish you could have someone give me a call that has the authority to solve this issue. If noone is willing to please let me know so I can simply cancel the service and return to sprint. I am inclosing the letter I wrote to the editor and He asked me for a follow up and I will be sending him the follow up today. I feel I have given you plenty of time to settle this and all I get is the brush off. Now with a possible hurricane coming we might have to evacuate to Laredo and I will have no way of calling family members since none can here me on my pocket phone. Frank Ramirez

Subject: Second Rate Customer Service

After I read your story on Pocket communications, I decided to do a bit of research. I liked what I saw and decided to switch from Sprint to Pocket. Pocket after all is just $37 a month. Well like the old saying goes: If it sound to good to be true it probably is" and the old proverb is true in my case. My husband bought a phone for $100 and the very next day went back with a complaint on it and was told he had a bad phone and a bad battery. That he should buy another phone (same model). Two months later he still has the same troubled phone. I on the other hand decided to look into pocket.com to see which phone was best for my needs. I chose the SLVR $199 awesome phone according to the website. But again another saying "Buyer beware". The SLVR featured in the website is not the same SLVR you get at the store and Pocket employees are very well trained in making me feel like I am the one at fault. Saying that I should know that the company makes several different SLVR's but can only put one on the website (My BAD) I should have known that tid bit right? Well my daughter bought the Strobe $169 high tech phone and she says very pretty. Well you get the jist of my letter by know, yep we messed up again sorry pocket. You see "we" should have known that the strobe even though it has a fancy key pad and the employee claimed it made texting much easier turns out it is not meant for texting at all. DUH how could I have missed that. Turns out it is only good for "phone calls" according to pocket. So here we are holding $368 "plus tax" worth of phone that are completely useless to us. Yes sprint was more expensive I would even say a lot more expensive. But the problems would have been solved by now. A pocket employee told my husband "dude why are you complaining pocket is cheap" I think he was talking about the rate not their customer service, but maybe he had a problem with his phone too. Five times we asked for a District Supervisor to call us and we were finally told that managers and supervisors "Do not talk to customers". And here I am with all this to tell them.
