My partner today received a "Registered" letter in South Africa dated 1 November posted in Spain on 3 November advising that she had won in excess of 615810.00 Euros from Loterias y Apuestas del Estado lottery in Spain held on 25 October! The amount has to be claimed by 15 December. Ticket, serial, track and lucky numbers are given.
A lottery that she had not entered or ever heard about!
For "information" the letter advises that 10% of prize money belongs to the claim agent as part of their commission. The claim agent is Don Carlos Martinez Foreign Operations Manager of Henares Seguros SA who has to be contacted on 0034-697-656-399 and to whom the commission must be paid.
Amazing however how that had the street address details and both her initials with the surname! Posted in Correos! However they did not have our house number, the complex name or the postal code! The letterhead was printed on poor quality paper and slightly smudged!
The author is allegedly Jose Luis Miguel, Vice President, International Promotions / Prize Award Department!
Thanks to complaint for their advice on similar! These are scams to get you to pay money to get the money" or to get addresses or get your banking details.
