Apparently "at wil" employment allowed the company to fire you for no reason or they can just make up excuses, violate they own company policy, and descriminate against you.
My employment as a driver was terminate over a telephone conversation without prior incidents for using inappropriate language into different occasions within the same week.
The next day a disciplinary noticed stated the I was terminate for privious poor performance, misconduct, attitute write-ups, being unprofessional, and for making negative comment about the company.
The supervisor explained the Department of Labor that company policy requires verbal, written, and suspension before termination but to make it fit his purpose he stated that my actions were ground for automatic termination of employment.
Another driver insulted and cursed the supervisor and did not even get a verbal warning.
Other driver were late and violate company policy and were not disciplined.
