I recieved a letter from Midland Credit Management saying the just Purchased my Capital One account. The problem with this is I have NEVER had any type of account with Capital one. The letter states i Owe 1,330.72 and they are offering me a 50% discount on this balance. I will also be filing a report on Capital One, because i contacted them about this matter and they have as of today not responded to my inquiry. On 7/09, i sent Midland Credit Management a Debt Validation letter, by certified mail, demanding to see all reciepts, the purchase contract and the chain of title deeds. I think these clowns prey on those of us trying to rebuild our credit, and they need to be stopped from sending false collection letters.
