During the week starting on monday 06/11/07 between Friday 06/15/07 I am stating that I was blamed for actions that caused 711 materials Inc. To terminate my employment with the company. I have reason to believe that 711 Materials has no cause and evidence to support their accusations for my termination from the company. On the day of 06/13/07 I delivered concrete to a house with orchard trees next to it. When I arrived the customer workers directed me to the back of the house where they needed the cement to be poured, one worker had me back my truck up to the area where I was to pour the cement, there were small trees close to the work zone, soo I positioned my truck proceeding very slowly while watching the hand signals from the worker through my rear view mirrors, he told me to pull forward and then pull back into position so the chutes could reach the area to be poured, while I was in position and ready to pour the foreman called the worker that directed me to the front of the truck where the tracks led into the orchard and the foreman looked pissed off balling out his employee for causing me to drive my truck over the sprinkler line and damaging it.
I got out of my truck and told the foreman I did not see the sprinkler line and that I was watching his workers hand directions. Soo the foreman tried to blame me for the broken sprinkler line and I told him it's not my fault, he then proceeded to call 711 materials on the spot and report the ordeal to my company. So on Thursday 06-14-07 my company set me on call for the day. On Friday I was on call again and as I picked up my check my Supervisor David Lederle told me that 711 Materials had to let me go. David gave me no reason as to why they fired me, he just gave my my checks and had my sign two pieces of papers stating my previous and current week hours. Soo the same day I gone to the Employment office to open a claim. Talked to a EDD rep and they set a date for my phone interview on 06-28-07. On 06-28-07 Joyce from the EDD called me for eligibility for unemployment insurance and stated that 711 Materials Inc. Told her that "I destroyed a tree in the orchard and it could not be replaced and I had poor work performance and I did not report the incident and it all was my fault." I told Joyce I taken pictures of the damaged Sprinkler line with my digital camera and there is no tree to be found damaged on the property and the foreman had already reported it to my company soo there was no need for me to report it. Joyce told me not to worry about it that I would recieve my unemployment reward cause she has reason to believe that I am not the one to blame for this incident.
