I got a qote in Late November to move from a one bedroom loft apartment to move just boxes and furniture. I asked Jack whom wrote the quote if they come out to give an estimate so they can see how much I have that needs moving. He said no need to, and that he guaranteed me that the guys would move me with in the 3 hours with time to spare.

I was quoted $300 for three guys, a truck and three hours. When they arrived I was told the company policy was to use packing materials to protect my belongings and that the use of the "Free" furniture pads were not sufficent. This is not what Jack told me, and the foreman mover would not give me the prices for the materials.

He told me that the tv and my glass display case needed to be bubble wrapped for my protection. So seeing how it was just two items I allowed them to bubble wrap them.

I also told the foreman when he arrived at my house in a Penske truck - do they not have their own trucks, that I wanted just boxes and furniture and plants moved. I told this to him both rooms, the living room and bedroom. They started packing everything else to with out my permission and when I had realized what they had done, it was too late.

A $300 move 22 miles costed me $3000. The packing materials alone totalled $1800 bringing the total. So when we got to the new apartment I was told the amount I only had budgeted $500 in case they went over in time. No way was I prepared to pay the additional 2200 or so they were charging me for.

I asked to speak with the office, and of course it being about 1:30 the office closed at 12 noon. I asked the foreman if he could leave me my queen bed (box spring and mattress so I had something to sleep on I gave them authorization to charge $1100 to my debit card. So I was left with literally no pot to piss in. I had no change of clothes the took the suitcases which I told them were being moved by me.

Monday I called the office and Kimberly the office receptionist asked me how my move went, I said you didn't hear. I explained to her I needed to speak with a manager and she told me the office manager Ron was not in but she would have him call me.

I talked with Ron, he told me he was sure he could get the owner to agree on 2000 and total and I would need to come up with an additional $900 and the movers would be at my place on Friday with my stuff. Thursday he calls and I have already been to the bank, and withdrew the $900 in cash and he tells me for $500 more I can have my stuff I said no you assured me it was $900 on Monday and now you wait until Thursday at 4:30 to tell me it is $1400 instread of $900 to get my stuff.

So I got the additional money and waited 1 1/2 hours for the movers to show up and they unloaded my stuff and didn't bother to reassemble my furniture they disassembled, and I found several items broken or damaged, that they wrapped or didn't wrap.

I had to disolve an anutity account to pay the movers, and now I have to pay federal taxes in addition to being screwed by these movers.

I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and also got an email from a woman who has appeared to receive a box belonging to me. Thank god she lives in San Jose, and not in Indiana like the other guy.
