John Jones is the code enforcement officer for the city of key west. I reported to him last week a major monopoly on the island who along with the city caused me to go out of business. I call to report to him the fury a big sailing company in key west was operating their new location without an occupational license. After speaking to occupational license office and verifying this carolyn told me to report it to code enforcement. I reported it to john jones directly he told me it was not his job to enforce it. The city was made aware by me that this was going to happen in advance and after it did this group from the mayor down have refused to go enforce something that all other businesses are required to have, an occupational license. The reason they are not is because this area is already at its max level and cannot issue one. To read more please see my blog
