For years this man abused, threatend, and harrassed my daughter and her small son. He also threatend and intimidated my husband and I. He always thought he was Mr. Maucho. They haad one daughter in the year 2000. They did not marry until my grandaughter was 2. Right after they got married he made her move fo St. Joseph where his family lived My daughter did not want to move, because her family all lived in the U.P. She decided to enroll in beauty school and that is when things really got bad. Whild whe was going to school my parents were footing the bill for the day care. He has a so called two million dollar business with a partner of his Whhen my daughter would ask him for money, he said to ask your parents.
Duriing the time my daughter was going to school, he spent much of his time on the golf course and playing poker, which he did in Indiana. My daughter was receiving phone calls from these women all the time asking for him. Whhen my daughter finally finished school and went to work, she had a promising good job at a very good salon working as an assistant. He did not like her hours, because she worked into eveing sometimes and that cut down on his play time. Mr. Leffel is all about himself. My daughter finally filed for divorce and they granted her cusody of their daughter. He did not like the fact that he would have to pay child support and filed for custody himself. Because of all his threats and mental abuse that he inflicted upon her son and herslf, she packed up the kids and moved to Linden where he continued to harrass her and mentally abuse her., and threatend to see her in a box before he would pay her a dime. I have seen the abuse he put on her and my grandson. He came into the beauty shop where she worked and harrassed her.
The judge said there was not enough proof and granted custody of her daughter over to a man who carried on an ongoing affair with different women from Indiana, which her ex-husband failed to tell the court about. He got the money from 2 homes, a camper trailer, and much more. She never got a dime. Shhe had a lousy judge and a lousy lawyer over in Berrien County. As my grandson puts it, He is Evil grandma. She is still fighting back. She goes to court on March 20 again. This time he wants to move their daughter out of state to Indiana, so he can marry one of his pregnant girlfriends that he was going with, when him and my daughter were married. We are pretty sure his other girlfriend also had a kid while my daughter and him were still married. My daughter slso pays three hundred dollars a month in child support to this moron. What is wrong with this judicial system? I have written letteers to the Juudical tenure commission and to the attorney tenure committee with no results. Something has to be done. She wants her daughter back and what is legally hers. She was left with nothing but threats and continues to do so. I know she is still afraid of him. That is why I am writing this, instead of her. He is a monster that has to be stopped. I also forgot to mention that he was at one time wanted by the FBI for software fraud at Michigan Tech. My daughter says he has also embezzled from his own business but can not prove it.
