David Porter is the ultimate deadbeat dad. Once over two years ago he shared custody with my girlfriend who i have live with for over four years now. One day he decided he would just dump the kids and stop paying child support.
He stopped paying support which was only sixty dollars weekly for two kids together. Considering he made over a hundred thousand dollars yearly, most of which wasn't claim, he still claimed over forty thousand though. He stopped paying the money in may just because he didn't want to as he told me.
In august of the same year this man called his ex-wife to tell her she can have the kids and he can't take care of them anymore. It was just a stunt for he was about to have a bunch of court dates for things he had done while he had been on his latest stint out drinking. He had his day in court.
How does a man with charges such as armed carjacking mixed with dui and different assault charges end up coming out with a "not criminally responsible" judgement? My girlfriend, which i would like to remain nameless for now, while he was being held moved for custody since he could not contest. It only put us back on rent two months.
A few months after he got away from court he tried to reclaim the kids again as if she had never went through court for them. He took the paperwork he received from her lawyer, which was already law, and changed it to her liking and faxed it to her as if it had been changed.
Around May of i believe was when he started paying support again but never paid nearly $6000 back support and actually pays more to his lawyer to keep screwing with us. He pays his support when he feels like it and court won't touch him.
His ex-wife used to be afraid of him until she had enough of me around her to rub off. He used to beat her all the time, one time stomping on her face making her need reconstructive surgery on her jaw while they were married. He even has some off the same issues with the woman he's with now, but the only ones who will tell are his own kids.
Now i had to fork out another $1500 for a lawyer to try to fight the money they have together and while they aren't married they are a couple. We just can't afford to take any more hits now for as fortunate as david may be, we don't make as much money to be in court all the time.
I have since last year been in an accident at work and am having trouble with money because the company has decided they don't want to pay and my girlfriend doesn't make enough to cover the family. I just don't know what to do now.
