I got a call from Area Circulation offering a wonderful deal on magazines. Subscriptions for 5 or 6 years for several magazines. I would pay Area Circulation to keep up these subscriptions. I would pay around $50 for several months.
I did like a few of the magazines that were offered, so I decided to take a chance and get the offer. I chose a few magazines that I wasnt sure of and were told that I could change them at any time. It turned out that I didn't like a few of them.
I called back and told the representative that I wanted to change a few of the magazines on him account.instead of changing the magazines, the rep added another account. When I realized what had happened, it was too late to cancel the second account.
The cost of living in Hawaii is High and we could not afford the first account ($50) AND the second account ($45) and still keep our heads above water. The only thing that they offered to do was give me a multiple account discount and lower our payments by extending our payment length.
I was also told that I could cancel the accounts, but I would have to pay a cancellation fee for each account. As soon as I had the money, I called to cancel. I was told that I could not, under any circumstances cancel the accounts.
So, at the moment, I am getting charged $60ish a month for these magazines.
