A young sales woman came to the Spokane Outreach Center thrift store to sell a credit card machine service. She convinced me after six hours of promises and flattery to sign a contract for 4 years. She required an automatic withdrawal from a SOC account of a certain amount. The agent made many verbal agreements qualifying the account. Soon I noticed multiple companies removing small amounts that were not authorized. I attempted to contact MBF leasing company but could not get a human being. I closed the account.
MBF contacted me with extremely disrespectful, interrupting, hostile phone callers who presented threatening scenarios. When I attempted to explain the situation the phone agents refused to allow me to speak more than a few words interrupting me over and over again. I stopped receiving their calls. They called as many a ten times a day. Then they started sending hostile letters threatening to take me to court.
Finally, today, I received a phone call from a man pretending to be a lawyer offering to settle out of court. Again the person misrepresented himself and had obtained illegal information about my family he used to frighten me into paying off the debt.
These agents do not know what MBF is doing. They are well trained to believe that MBF is perfectly above board. They use legal jargon to absolve themselves from all responsibility for everything. They say the contract says things it does not say. Much of the wording in the contract is very vague, open to interpretation and easily redefined by lawyers. SO they say they are not responsible for the actions of their agent, not responsible for the equipment working properly of for how many companies take money out of the account.
My advice is having nothing to do whatsoever with MBF leasing their agents or the companies that use them.
We are a Christian organization with no employees. 96% of the funds raised go to outreach projects in the US, India and Africa and the thrift store earns the money to cover administrative fees. SO there is no money to pay the $4,800 they demand even though they provide absolutely no services. If the reader of this report believes in prayer please pray for this situation.
