Dead beat dad - Fred ghist owes $11,000 in back child support. He moves around to avoid jail - There is currently a warrant in Michigan out for his arrest.
There are 2 wonderful girls involved in this case - age 17 and 15. He walked out of their lives about 9 years ago. The worst part of this is the 15 year old is a handicapped child who was born with cerebral palsey. She has been in a wheel chair all her life.in the summer of 2005 she under went a very extensive surgery to rebuild some bones in her foot - she got very sick and was in and out of the hospital for several months due to her body rejecting the new bone material. Did her sperm donor even bother to show up at the hospital or call to see how she was - NO!!! I know he was aware because his mother was called and informed of the situation.
I have been the mother and father to these 2 children since our divorce almost 15 years ago - The reason for the divorce was domestic violence. I work full time, plus take care of my children. My 15 year old takes alot of time and patience and by the time I go to bed at night I am totally exhausted. My 17 year old is a saint. She is a huge help to me. I almost lost her due to a staph infection almost 3 years ago - and her father never even called - although he was informed.
As far as we know he is living in Loxley Alabama. He is traveling with his wife Sue Ghist and 2 children - He also works for his brother in law Ty Holsenback, doing construction. He is paid as a sub contractor so he doesn't have to claim he has income. His mother Stella Frost will give no information and protects him. He travels back and forth to Florida doing construction work for the company his brother in law owns. He also has a CDL license and has the ability to work and provide for his children, he just refuses to.
He thinks he has done no wrong and says he needs to take care of his "new" family. And says the girls need to get on with their lives - He claims that the friend of the court lies and that he is making his payments but they are "stealing" his money. WHAT EVER! I am tired of my kids going without - don't get me wrong -they don't complain, but I see the way they look at stuff they would like to have. I try my hardest to provide just the basics. I want this man, excuse me, sorry excuse for a man to look his children in the eye and tell them that they are not good enough to deserve his support, as he his hauled off to jail.
