On May 20th at apprx 7:15pm, a young sales-person rang my doorbell and proceeded to give a sales pitch for a cleaner
The cleaner was called Texas Magic, came in a quart bottle and was promised to clean everything and everyone in your house.
I didn't buy the cleaner, and that isn't what this report is about. Shortly after the salesperson left I went outside and noticed that a piece of mail I had on my mailbox to be mailed, was no longer there!
I immidiately called the policeand filed a report. The mail contained credit card receipts that were to be mailed to my corporate office.
The following morning I found the envelope torn open and lying on the ground across the street from my house.
Later that day another salesperson from this same company came to my door again! I immidiately began questioning him and called the police.
The salesman refused to talk to me or tell me who his boss was, or anything else about the company and when I called the police he took off down the street.
The police did come and find him, he did not have a required permit to do door to door sales in my city, but I am unsure of what the police did with him.
Currently I am waiting on a call back from a detective about possibly trying to lift prints from the envelope.
Bottom line: Although it is unclear whether this company routinely engages in stealing mail, it is clear that thier employees do.
