The man open the door and was in her home before she knew what happened. He would not leave until she purchased a Kirby Vacuum cleaner. She bought it just to get him to go away. What a mistake. She should have called the police. She called the next day to cancel the sale and told them to pick up the unit. She was told that someone would be there in the next few days.
He finally called and said he would be there the next day. We he did come the next day, but it was 11:30 at night. No one is going to open their doors to a man in the middle of the night. She called Knoxville the next day and told them what happened. They assured her again that someone would try to pick up the unit. Guess what, no one ever came. The contract that you sign says that if they do not pick up the vacuum cleaner within 20 days, the vacuum is yours.
Thirty days later she was contacted again by them. This time some man came up to her home and looked into her son's bedroom window and told her son to tell your mother to open the door. His mother was not at home at the time, but he called her on his cell phone and told her what happened.in the mean time, the salesman called my daughter's cell phone and left her a threatening message.
My dauther called them back and told them they had better stay off her property. They said they would be there the next day @ 1:00. They called her @ 2:00 and said they would be there in 3 minutes. My daughter called me at work and told her to call the police. I arrived there shortly after the salesmen did, the police arrived shortly afterwards.
One black man came out of the van and began running his mouth. The policeman finally told him that if he didn't get back in the van he was going to arrest him and put him in jail. He did nothing but lie saying that he had tried several times to pick up the cleaner, but my daughter had phone records where he had only called the one time previous to this day.
Even though the contract said that after 20 days she could keep the vacuum, the "head man" told her they would ruin her credit. She didn't want the vacuum and was eager to return it. They were supposed to bring back her old vacuum, but brought someone else's cleaner instead.
If you want to go through this experience, then when you see Ultimate Technologies pull up in your driveway, then you can open the door and let them in. The one that came to her home was a silver van loaded with people pouncing on helpless people. Be aware, they will be there for hours trying to wear you down.
Suggestion: buy a Vacuum. It's about the fourth the price and it's the best vacuum I have ever used. I've had a Kirby. It's in the city dump now.
