Capital Vacations
Took money from my account and never returned it as promised, ripoff

I was duped by Capital Vacations. I gave them my account number believing I would recieve a vacation package, and I never did. My account was debited for $19.95 for quite a few months. Each time it was, I called the number that was given by my bank.

I called the number and followed the prompts. It instructed me to enter my phone number and then press 1 if I wanted to cancel my membership. I did so and it informed me that it would return my money in 14 business days. I never recieved that money. I figured since it was barely under $20, I wouldn't make a big deal over it.

However, the next month my account was debited AGAIN and my account ended up overdrawn! I again called to cancel, and went through the same procedure. I thought maybe their system hadn't registered my cancellation, and I fell for the same thing AGAIN.

Finally, when they debited my account a 3rd time, I talked to an operator. She was very nice and I physically cancelled my account with her and recieved a cancellation number.in order to get my money back, she said I had to send a letter with my name, address and the phone number I used to register with along with the cancellation number in order to recieve my money back.

I did so, and it has been almost 2 months since then.
I am writing them another letter giving them 2 weeks from this monday to get my money to me or call me explaining why I haven't recieved my money before I take legal action. I was willing just to take the $19.95 they promised me, but if I am pressed to take legal action, I will sue for all the money they took from my account, including the overdraw fees I had to pay as a result of them. I work for a firm of lawyers, and I am sure they will be willing to help out.

I will let you all know how this progresses and if I get any response to anything.
