I recieved a phone call on November 4th with an offer for a free Florida vacation, just for trying a 2 week membership to Capital Vacations. I was told that after I got the letter, I had 2 weeks to call and cancel my membership, but I would still be able to keep the free vacation if I canceled.
This sounded good till they asked for my account number. I told them "No." But he convinced me that it was only for account verification. Im embarrassed to admit I fell for it.
I was also convinced to try "Versa Talk", a long distance phone call plan for two weeks. I finally got my letter in the mail and was told my deadline was November 17th! But the envelope was POSTMARKED November 17th! So my account was charged.
When I called to cancel/complain, all I got was a recording and 2 other phone numbers that told you the same thing! So my account is currently $250 over drawn. Thank you, Capital Vacations. I will never be so naive again.
