I received a call claiming I was guaranteed a grant of at least $5000. Her name was Anna Smith and she was a representative working for the U.S. Govt. I.D. #065.

I listened to everything, I even took notes. The grant would be deposited into my checking account within a couple weeks. I only had to give her my account number, and I would receive $100. Voucher that I could deposit right away. I would also receive health care benefits, and long distance service. All I had to pay was $29.95 to process the application for the grant money. Of course it sounds great. Too good to be true.

Two days later, $29.95 was taken out of my checking account. I didn't think anything of it. Ten days later, $19.95 was taken out. I got suspitious, I got a phone number from my bank and called the company. It was for the long distance service. I told him that I really wasn't interested and I didn't know I was going to be charged for it. He said that he was making a note and the money would be returned back into my account. I never got the money.

Then $299.95, I had recieved nothing and they were still taking money. I called them to complain and they said I couldn't get any money back. Then $19.95 was taken 3 more time over 2 more months. I was livid. I called my bank and they suggested closing the account and they would do an investigation. They're not sure about the 299.95 because it was too late but they would try.

Then I went to the police today to file charges against them for fraudulant charges to my bank account. I don't know what will happen but at least I'm doing something.
