Ripoff money from my bank account

I have been scammed by this company. Telling me that I have been selected to receive a free grant of 12,500.00. To give them my checking account information. At the time I only had a saving account and went and opened up a checking account to receive this grant. He asured me that this was for real and that I would only be charged with a one time fee of $29.95. And that they would take $299.95 out of the $12,500.00 that they was going to deposit in my account as a donation to the Sunami Releif. How can I get my money back and stop this from happen to oyher people?
