Do not rent here! They will say anything to get you to rent and use the "bait & switch" technique. There is no parking at all, the apartments have major over occupancy issues, safety is a constant concern and the management doesn't care at all.
Wait until you see the water bill. I just found out there is a class action lawsuit against them over this issue. We were paying over $50 per month just for water.
The rent increase was unreasonable over 5% and this is not nearly the nicest place to live.
I will reiterate the parking problem. Plenty of tenants have 4-6 cars and they use the place for storage. Our car got 4 door dings in it & management refused to help out.
Maintenance is pathetic. The maintenance supervisor, Robert, likes to hang out with all the dead beat tenants and drink with them. I wouldn't trust him in our place even if I was home.
Trust us... Don't live in any of the apartments in Rancho. Buy a house.
Then when you move out, the collections department is on the phone 2 days after you receive the statement to collect the money. Mind you, we tried to pay when we moved out, but they couldn't give us a final estimate of what we owed. We were not delinquent... We just needed to know what was due.
We have learned that Equity has many issues and law suits pending. The customer service and attitude of their staffs certainly show the reality of the company.
