I am so SICK of these Landlords that all they want is the tenants MONEY. We have a situation next door to our home. The owner and his wife fell compelled to take the deposits from there new tenants claiming that these particular apartments will be done on time. There were only 2 original apartments move in ready. They not only let these tenants move in thinking the apartments were done there were no refrigerators, stove, showers, or sinks. When these tenants called their new landlord he would not return their call. After many attempts he then would tell them over the phone they are evicted. We have tried to help these new tenants as they have no other place to go. The police, mayor of Richmond, Indiana, Hud, and many many more have been called. Still nothing has been done. He is what you call a SLUMLORD. We have come to understand he does this to all his apartments. We need something done. Not only is he taking advantage of the less fortunate (coming out of a divorce w/3 children, maybe just moved to our town, out of jail or drug dealers (he likes them) he takes advantage of the neighbors who live here already. He will not clean the yards, paint the outside. Nothing but a SLUM...
