What a rip-off!
While at work: women (aka Sherley Austin) with strong accent calls claiming I am going to recieve $5000. No strings attatched.
The "manager" comes on to verify my information since I can't understand 'Sherley.' Turns out he's got just as worst an accent.
They claim to work for the US Government. Since I am a US Marine, I figure it must have been a sure thing. And since I was at work, telemarketers don't call us on our work phone, it seemed real enough it wasn't a hoax.
Too bad: I researched it right away and lookie here... FAKE! Do not fall for this! Especially if they claim to be working for the US Government but don't even know a thing about the Government. When they didn't know how to spell US MARINE or what it even was, I knew they were FAKE.
I called my bank to stop this at once! Do the same.
