Ripoff -man and woman with Indian accent pretend to work as government grant processing unit ripoff people for $257.00 I gave them all my banking info!

I recieved phone call from man and woman with Indian accent claim to be working for agency that processing government grant to individual who met their criteria or qualifications. They told me that I am qualified for a grant of $8000 and is confirmed with free tax and I don't have to pay back this money. All I needed to do was to give them my bank account number so that they can process the paper work that required a fee of $257.00. They assured that I will not be charged right away and they setup a recorder for the verification process. I went ahead and gave them the information. BAD DECISION!!!

I came home and did a little research and found this site. Next day, I went to my bank and closed my account for good. Thnk for all who spend the time writing usacomplaints.com so that anyone who came accross the same scams can be aware of them.
