This is a case of fradulant modem hi-jacking, we were billed and expected to pay for these charges. They were unauthorized and unregulated calls to Papua New Guinea. We are outraged that this is happening and continues to happen.
The consumer has no one to help them out! I talked to countless people, who work for verizon long distance and they clearly state that I was indeed the victim, but yet still responsible for the charges. I hope in the future that this changes for us consumers who are getting ripped off!
