I am filing a fraud complaint, and would like my money back.in Jan. my daughter responded to a modeling ad in Craigslist - granted, she had gotten legit jobs there before - and after viewing her ModelMayhem portfoliio, they did a fake conference call, then called her the next day and told her that NIKE wanted to use her as their model for an NBA finals commercial. It may seem naive - and in hindsight it was, but the excitement was huge... A big break, after years of much smaller jobs. We needed to pay $60 to them, for a listing in the SAG, and each month would pay $10 dues. No problem. The dates started getting switched, many delays, over and over, and we finally realized - we have been scammed. Online the reviews for Elite were a mixed bag - some saying there were real possibilities for jobs... Nothing ever became of it. I had actually forgotten the $10 was coming out every month. Today I called their 888-736-6475 number to cancel this "subscription" - which is totally bogus. No one thinks they can be scammed. This company is going to be under investigation - they are a full on scam, and it makes me sick. Every time they collect the $60.00 start up fee, they have started the scam... Not to mention the feelings that were blown to shreds. I am considering getting a lawyer, no matter how small the amount of money is. I want it back. All $140.00
