John Casablanca
Lied to my daughter telling her she was a model and that she was booking jobs. This was a total lie that they told to every parent and child in the program. And surrounding areas

I was a model as a teenager and I never required any modeling classes nor was I asked to pay one red cent to anyone who booked me.

My daughter is very beautiful. We were walking through the mall one day and were approached by a man who just gushed over my daughter's extreme beauty. He promised us that he could have her working in the modeling industry within a month and it wouldn't cost anything to get started. Well that was lie #1. We had to pay thousands for ""classes" to prepare her for her "modeling debut". We were assured that every dime would be paid back to us on the weekends while she was modeling. I was a total skeptic but my daughter was beside herself with excitement.

We had 4 companies call and "book" my daughter for photo shoots. I finally started to believe that this was our payback for all those pointless classes. When we showed up for the "photo shoots" there were hundreds of other girls from JC there as well and every one of them had been told the same thing. The girls had to audition for ONE part that was available. Guess who the one part went to? You guesses it, not one of the girls from John Casablanca got it. It was given to a girl from Elite modeling in New York City who had never taken one single class and had a very simple portfolio that her manager at Elite put together for her. She and her parents never spent a dime to get her modeling career on the move. They warned us to run from John Casablanca as quickly as we could and we promised never to give a dime to anyone unless they were taking portfolio photos "which are necessary but John Casablanca did not arm us with".

Mothers and Fathers, please don't ruin your children by putting them in these fake, fake, fake competition/classes BS things that will only steal all your hard earned money. If your child really has what it takes, they will be approached by a company that wants to hire them outright, portfolio or not/experience or not. The real deals want the real kids, not the ones who have been made up to look like just what they've been turned into/John Casablanca wannabe models that will never go anywhere. If I didn't know better I'd think places like John Casablanca only existed to make sure the real modeling industry stayed small enough for a select group of children to make it big.

Run far from the modeling schools and all their lies!!!
