While on vacation with two grandchildren I booked a hotel in Moncton NB for the last night to take them to Crystal Palace. One of the children became very sick and a physician was consulted who was on call at the Quebec city hotel where we were staying. As the child was quite ill, we wanted to cancel the hotel reservation for Moncton that night to be able to get home quickly and get the child medical attention. The Moncton Hotel was not able to cancel the reservation booked though this company. The number provided in our reservation confirmation did not connect us to hotelsavings.com. It took about 15 minutes on a cell phone to find the correct number. The representative used a variety of stalling methods, such as asking the reason for the cancellation twice. I was put on hold and after a delay of five minutes the representative told me he had called the hotel in Moncton and that the hotel refused to cancel the reservation. I called the Moncton hotel the next day after we got home and was told that the information from hotelsaving.com representative was not correct. Hotelsaving.com never allows any cancellations regardless of the position of the hotel on the matter. Furthermore, I learned that I paid significantly more by booking through this service as compared to direct booking with the hotel
