Bought a business in 6. Business already had a CC machine. I was contacted by the assholes from LFG and was sold the promise of lower CC transaction charges over the existing providers. Given that I just bought the business. I moved swiftly to prevent my sales ending up in the old owners CC machine.
I was given a song and dance and told that exiting from lease was possible if i gave 30 days notice. I asked what happens if I'm not in business by the 3rd year on a 4year terminal lease. I was told if your not in business not much is going to happen as there is no transactions and the equipment should be returned.
Then in Jan was forced to close the business as it was not viable with the way things were. So i called the thieves at LFG an told them that i was closing and where should I send the equipment.
To my surprise they told me that if i was closing the business i would still be liable for the lease and the remaining term. I explained the situation and their stance and response was simply. "You singed a lease and you're breaking it, so the remaining term is payable immediately" When asked why they would not take the equipment back and stop the lease charges and may be charge me a small one time early termination fee. They responded with "That exactly what we are doing"
How does paying for the full term equate to an early termination fee?
Well as they weren't willing to work with me I just went my way. As there is no sense in trying to speak to unreasonable, and illiterates.
They contacted me in between a few time and i told them the same thing as i had in the past. But the greedy bastards just keep begging for high payments that are not any where near reasonable.
How does a $200 credit card terminal that is on lease for 48 months at some $50 per month turn into $14000
I'd like to know which cunt is doing the math in that organization.
$50 x 48 = $2400... Even then that's a con job. Especially when there was no need for me to lease the equipment.
In-fact i even offered to buy their terminal so as to not do a lease an the rep told me that the lease was a better way to go as they will replace it of any thing goes wrong, else I'll have to replace at my cost if i buy it.
So after listening to the ass. Against my better judgement and for wanting to not have tech issues I lease it. BIG MISTAKE
More recently I requested a copy of my agreement and a statement of account showing the breakdown of all the charges and i have yet to receive any such documentation.
So on the one side threats and harassment, while on the other side no supporting proof of debt.
Today July20 i received a letter with the subject "Pre-Judgement Notice" threatening action with marshals, liens, levy's and wage garnishment.
I believe there are more people out there than one might like to think. There should be a class action lawsuit against these bastards for harassing innocent and unsuspecting people that are simply trying to make a living.
Stay away from these cunts. Better pay higher fees than get screwed by this assholes.
The story is the same no matter you break the lease or fulfill the lease terms. They are out to get any one and everyone.
What is surprising is that till date they are still in business.
