I was logged on to a very reputable retail company from which I had purchased some expensive items when a drop-down request to complete a customer survey appeared. I completed this and then was asked to choose a 'present'. I chose the cream and only had to pay the postage. I would normally have ignored this but because I believed it was from the company I deal with, I completed the survey and requested the cream using a credit card to pay the postage. The goods arrived quickly and was then followed by a phone call from my credit card company warning me of what was happening and that it was nothing to do with the retail company and I would be whacked every month for a considerable amount. I am returning the cream (by registered post) and requested that they cancel whatever it is they think I've signed up to. My credit card company have made sure that any request for money wont be paid. Thank goodness my credit card company were on the ball and warned me.
