My Mother, Maxine Milota, who is 86 years old and widowed was called by NCWC regarding a extended warranty on her 2010 Honda. For some reason she agreed to pay them $599.00 for this warranty. Mom mailed the check and they cashed it on 4/18. Then she received her credit card bill from Key Bank and there was a charge in the amount of $146.67. This is where I got into the picture. (daughter Barb Brzozowski). I called the NCWC phone number at 888-321-4443 and was given the run around. They explained on my first call, that my Mother agreed to this and the additional charge was the balance over a 15 month period which would have brought her total charges to $2799.00! I asked they stop this immediately and they said she would have to find the cancellation form in her policy and return to them and they would adjust her refund accordingly. She NEVER received a policy. So I then called them again asking they send her a policy which they said they would do. Needless to say, it never arrived in the mail. I called a 3rd time and they said I need a Power of attorney faxed to them in order for them to talk to me any further. I then called my Mother and asked that she call them herself which she did and they hung up on her 5 times! Finally she got someone to talk to her and they said they would mail the policy which they haven't. She then called her bank and stopped all transactions to her credit card from them and was credited the $146.67 from Key Bank. She is still out the $599.00.
