Purchased theater tickets for a NY city off Broadway play. Prices were $172.00 each (I bought 2) plus shipping ($15.00) and handling fees ($25.00 per ticket). I had to get seats in the mezzanine because they were so expensive. When the tickets arrived they were marked $85.00 ea! I called them in shock that they would tack on $87.00 per ticket! The said i agreed to terms when I clicked "purchase" and they have a non-cancelation policy. I can understand that but not when I am being taken advantage of. This is scalping online under the guise of a reputable company. They are not. If they did it on the street outside the theater, they would be arrested. No where should someone make that kind of profit and the consumer has absolutely no recourse. I purchased another set of tickets at a much lower price and better sets on the main floor close to the stage. Those only had a $25.00 fee. Much more reasonable from Ticketmaster.
