My phone was not charging. It was within the 1 year warranty period. I call AT&T and was told they would replace my phone for the same one "refurbished". Since my phone was not working, what choice did I have. Today, about one month later, AT&T sent me back my old phone and with a form letter stating that my phone was damaged. I will be billed for $329.00. Other then the phone not charging it was in perfect condition. I called and was asked" did I wiggle it to make it charge? I said I tried to get it to work to no avail. They said my actions of wiggling it caused it to break? I could not believe it. I did what anyone would do. I put the charger in the slot, that was it. It simply was a phone that stopped working. I was shocked. I have been a loyal customer for 12 years or more. I was so upset that I offered to send back the "refurbished" phone they sent me. They would not take that back either.
How can a company lie like this and get away with it?
Please assist me in this matter, as I feel that it is so wrong to charge me for a defect in their phone.
Thank You
