Don't EVER get involved with Sirius - MOST DECEPTIVE COMPANY EVER DEALT WITH

After spending $300 for the Sirius unit for my husbands birthday we immediately started having problems with unit. Stores refused to exchange unit and stated that Sirius had to send us new unit from them directly. After hours of customer service to try to fix a unit that was broke they sent a refurbished unit to us for replacement. The refurbished unit did not work either and they sent us another refurbished unit and that one did not work. On the third refurbished unit we had intermittent service. After 8 months of non working units and paying for a 2 year contract we felt that we should be credited for lost time. After many hours and 3 supervisors they credited account with some time. Then that unit failed.

Customer service gives you hours of run around on purpose to persuade you not to call, it worked. Almost every time of these lengthy calls they would never document account with any notes of the problems of unit or service so we would have to explain everything over and over and over and over and over and over and over... Keep in mind also that you are in your vehicle on the road so you have to use your cell phone to call which the minutes add up. I have over 7 hours of documented time for one month alone talking to their customer service.

Then the unit stopped working completely and guess what, now the unit was out of warranty and Sirius would not replace it. They wanted us to buy another one. NOT! I still had months of service left with non working unit that was bought new and never received a new unit back when the others stopped working, always refurbished.

We called and asked for our money back and the months left on contract. NO was their response. So we cancelled service. When the 2 year contract was up they called 3 times a day everyday for weeks to have us re-sign a contract. We REFUSED; we didn't even have a working unit to receive the service. We asked them to stop calling, they said that they could not help on that and bumped me to another department to cancel the calls. Many times I waited for 45 minutes to 98 minutes for customer service and requested no calls; they would note it and resume calling the next day. This happened for almost 1 month even after a written letter and 5 calls waiting the minimum of 45 minutes.

Today, I received a letter from a credit collection agency for a bill sent from Sirius called NCO Financial Systems, Inc. For $93.00 for a past due balance. Keep in mind, I had a credit with them for months of non service and waived it and cancelled my service several times to the point of documenting because of the argumentative customer service and having them hang up on me when I requested them to stop calling and also cancelling service.

Called Sirius to find out why they #1. Why they sent me to a credit agency that is now going to show up on credit report, #2. Why they never sent me a bill requesting $93.00.

My recourse now will be sending a letter of intent to sue for Slander of Credit to Sirius and NCO Financial Systems if they do not take this off my account immediately.

Some birthday present for my husband! I paid over $300 for this unit and then paid another $200 for service. Had maybe a total 4 or 5 months of service out of 2 years. My recommendation is to run from this company and deal with one that would be happy to service you and stand behind there equipment.
