Received an unsolicited call Monday at 2:40 P.M. The CSR represented himself to be "Sean", a Windows Tech... With employee I.D. Or SW119. When asked if he was an employee of Microsoft Windows, following a breif pause he answered "NO"... He was "Windows sub-contractor whose team is assigned to "call every Windows user in the State of Texas" to mke them aware of a dangerous invasion of computers by junk mail coming through windows email software!" Further stated their phone No. To be 818-493-9889 but the Caller ID on my phone was 23-337-8555. He then ask if I was at my computer (YES) and asked me to identify the key which appeared between the Ctrl Key and the Alt Key and to press that key... At that point I dismissed him faining another business call coming in and I asked if I would be able to reach him later at the 818 number he gave me... He answered "YES" and repeated his employee ID number. I hung up and called my IT Tech who said it was a scam which would end up asking for my credit card and I should contact FBI.org and report it to FRAUD SECTION. Sincerely, Bobby (Personal Information Removed)
