Consumer Report

1/18/13
Due to illness and lost of work, our home was in a foreclosure status, I became desperate for assistance and called 877-745-3650 per a mail solicitation notice titled 'Notice of HUD Relief Pursuant to HUD ML 10' that we had received. Blake Lin is whom I spoke with and he stated he was with "Making Home Affordable" and since I heard of this program/service on the radio I proceeded to believe everything I was told. Keeping in contact via phone (Blake's direct #202-350-3097) & email ([email protected];) I submitted all required documents and than on 1/25 & 1/29 I received separate calls from Blake Lin & his supervisor (Jake Thompson) to congratulate us on our home modification loan stating explaining numbers in detail and advising me that everything was being taken care of with our bank. We than were surprised to learn that we would have to submit a cashier check for $3,659.96 for our bank as an reinstatement fee, and this had to be submitted by 2/1 leaving us feeling vulnerable and believe that everything was legitimate we had to borrow the money that we still are trying to pay back with more debt to fall upon. When we hadn't heard from the bank regarding our first payment I than contacted the bank to learn that they had nothing on file regarding a loan modification. I quickly called the number - no service, I sent e-mails to Blake - no reply. I than realized we were scammed and I cried so much it made me ill. I have all documents and notes on file if any is required please advise.
Lynn
