Vtech is a total scam company and I am not saying it because I am their customer but I am saying it because I worked there for approximately 2 months situated in Gurgaon, India. I couldn't believe my eyes, ears and senses that a company its management and its spoiled employees can be so unethial, so corrupt and big robbers.
I started this company as a Subject Matter Expert and I was the technical support team lead at the time I started. All the tech support operations were taken care by a group of employees (voice and remote) who for technical support issues and irrate customer issues and unresolved issues had to seek my assistance. About me, I did my masters in Canada in the past I have worked for companies like Dell, Hyundai and Apple.
In the first few days I recognized that the sales department who consist of about 7-8 scammers were encouraged by the management specially by the Owner Mr. Manish Sharma to scam the customers who call vtech with a purpose to rob their money by threatening their financial security by making them believe that it is at risk. They use to take them to command prompt screen and run a tree command. Tree command shows the directories of a computer in graphical and table format but while it is loading these Vtech sales guys used to manually type something like (4200 Infections Found. Computer being hacked and 92 % Corrupt) to cheat customer to make them believe to what they typed. I was shocked to see this unethical way of making sales and I complained against it to the operations manager Vikas Saigal. He said he cannot do anything as the owner support this. For a few days I had to supervise the calls and handle innocent customers ensuring that they get the value for money by myself taking their calls from the techncial support experts and resolving their issues but then my consceince did not allowed it to do anymore because I realized that these innocent customers did not even have issues with their computers and these sales guys were just scamming them by unethically saying that they are microsoft or premium dell, belkin, netgear or cisco etc. Partners and making all false unethical statments that would raise my accountability as a tech support supervisor for the lies they made to innocent customers. So I talked to the operations manager seiously that either i leave the job or you guys change the way you work. But to my surprise he showed me the email from Manish Sharma, the company owner which clearly indicated that sales would be made the way they are being made and no one will question the sales team. So i left the company in deep shock given to me by the highest level of unethical business practices by this company. I advise you guys to be aware of such scam companies. Vtech pays a huge amount of money to buy google adwords so that google searches bring vtechsquad's name on top when customers search for technical support on computer related issues.
